The Planning and Development Department of the Town of Slaughterville, Oklahoma is the municipal division responsible for supervising land use, community growth plans, and statutory property regulations within the town's borders. Operating out of the Slaughterville Town Hall, the department enforces municipal development codes to balance rural preservation with commercial expansion. 

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Zoning Compliance Permits:  Reviews applications and issues mandated development permits for new residential dwellings, modular or manufactured homes, commercial projects, and additions that modify water or sewage flow.
  • Platting and Survey Enforcement:  Mandates that all land divisions comply with town codes and files approved final surveys before structural construction can legally begin.
  • Floodplain Management:  Monitors and regulates construction inside Special Flood Hazard areas under specific flood damage prevention ordinances.
  • Growth and Comprehensive Planning: Manages long-term municipal planning frameworks, infrastructure coordination, and municipal land development policies.
