Ashley Furry

The Town Administrator works under the direction of the Board of Trustees and is responsible for the daily operation of the town, while working closely with citizens and other agencies to see that ordinances and services are properly administered.

Get To Know Ashley

Ashley is a graduate of Weatherford High School, OK. She has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) and is currently pursuing her master’s degree from SWOSU.

She has worked in municipal government for thirteen (13) years. She served the City of Weatherford as their City Clerk, Treasurer, and Utility Office Supervisor and now serves as the Town Administrator for the Town of Slaughterville. She is the President for the Oklahoma Municipal Clerks, Treasurers and Finance Officers Association (OMCTFOA), a Past President of the Oklahoma Association of Public Treasurers (OAPT), a Past President and current Advisor for the Association of Public Treasurers of the United States and Canada (APTUS&C), a member of the Government Finance Officers Association of Oklahoma (GFOAO), a member of the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC), and serves on the Oklahoma Municipal Clerks and Treasurers Education Committee (MC&T). She received the OMCTFOA Member of the Year award in 2019.

Ashley’s passion is public service, helping people, and bringing out the best in a community. She loves working in municipal government. She is blessed with three daughters that keep her extra busy.
